Another long break. And a lot has happened over the past one month. I managed to get a job. Got done with my 3rd semester exams. Finally started working on my thesis. Well, now that I look at it, its not as much as I had thought it was. To make things worse, I am still waiting for the offer letter[the wait is making me rather nervous], the exam results aren't out, and the thesis is nowhere close to being done.

However, today has been a rather satisfying day. I enrolled myself into an online course on Coursera: ''The Language of Hollywood: Storytelling, Sound and Colour''. Apart from the fact that I have never applied for an online course, there is a certain excitement as I am finally going to get beyond the realms of academics. The course starts in the first week of February. Can't wait.

I have been taking my regular dose of films otherwise. The ones that stand out are The Hobbit, Django Unchained and The Loved Ones. Of course, I managed to watch some atrocious ones too, with Brad Pitt's Killing Them Softly taking the top spot. The last time I felt such hatred for a film was while watching the mind-numbing Burn After Reading. Brad again. He is a fine actor, no doubt. But Killing Them Softly was such a terrible experience, that I could not cross the 60-minute mark, and humbly accepted defeat.
I have been trying to write something substantial on The Hobbit. Still stuck on the second paragraph.
Next in line: The Intouchables, Heleno and Cloud Atlas.
